Senploy is seeking a SEND Functional Skills Tutor to join an education provider in Leicester, delivering targeted Functional Skills tuition to young people with SEND. You will plan and deliver structured, differentiated learning across English and Maths, with digital and practical skills support as needed.

Applicants should have a relevant qualification in education or SEND, at least two years teaching experience with SEND, strong literacy and numeracy, and the ability to use digital resources

Qualifikationen

• A relevant qualification in education, SEND or a related discipline.
• At least two years' relevant teaching or tutoring experience with learners with SEND.
• Experience planning and delivering differentiated learning.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisation and record-keeping skills.
• Confidence using digital learning resources and educational technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider education team.

Aufgaben

• Plan and deliver Functional Skills teaching appropriate to individual ability and starting points.
• Deliver English and Maths tuition across relevant Functional Skills levels.
• Assess learners to identify attainment, strengths and areas needing support.
• Develop individual learning plans and set clear targets.
• Differentiate teaching, resources and activities for learners with SEND.
• Provide individual and small-group tuition where required.
• Prepare learners for Functional Skills assessments and qualifications.
• Monitor attainment and record progress against targets.
• Identify when a learner is not progressing and adjust teaching strategies.
• Maintain attendance, assessment, interventions and outcomes records.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other SEND professionals.
• Contribute to reviews and provide learner progress information.
• Utilize educational technology and digital resources to support learning.
• Follow safeguarding, SEND and organisational policies.
