Job summary

Classroom Talent in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, seeks a Family Inclusion Officer (SEND) on a permanent basis. You will support students with additional needs and strengthen links between the school and families.

The role reports to the Inclusion and SEND department, with responsibility for supporting annual reviews and maintaining student records. Term-time only, 38 weeks per year, 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children, young people or families.
• An understanding of SEND or a willingness to develop knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A compassionate, patient and professional approach.
• Ability to build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for parents and carers of students with SEND.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and external professionals.
• Work closely with SEND, pastoral and safeguarding teams.
• Support SEND documentation, annual reviews and student records.
• Help identify and address barriers to learning.
• Provide practical guidance and support to families.
