Job summary

South Hampshire College Group is looking for a passionate SEND Employability Hub Operational Officer in Greater London. This full-time, term-time only role focuses on developing and delivering an employability offer for SEND young people, ensuring they progress into sustainable employment opportunities. Required qualifications include Maths and English level 2 or above, alongside relevant coaching or mentoring qualifications. The role also involves working closely with local schools to support students’ transitions into the Hub.

Qualifications

• Experience of planning sequential lessons to meet outcomes.
• Experience of coaching individuals to achieve a goal.
• Experience of working with EHCP high needs students.
• Desire to secure the best possible outcomes for all students.

• Create links for SEND learners into meaningful employment opportunities.
• Work with local schools to identify potential Hub students.
• Promote the Hub with targeted marketing strategies.
• Develop personal progression plans with accredited elements.
• Lead on EHCP annual reviews for Hub students.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and skilled SEND Employability Hub Operational Officer. This is a full time, term time only opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a joined up and high performing employability offer for SEND young people that maximises progressions into sustained employment.
• Develop links and progression pathways for SEND Employability Hub learners into meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities (Apprenticeships, Paid Employment, Supported Internships).
• Work with local feeder school SENCo’s and identify Year 11 potential Hub students and develop transition for those identified.
• Work with the marketing team to promote the Hub with bespoke target audiences.
• Develop personal progression/learner plan/vocational profiling with accredited employability elements.
• Lead on EHCP annual reviews for Hub students, liaising with colleagues to deliver individual reviews with all hub activities related to in PfA outcomes.

Qualifications
