Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking a SEND Officer in Bristol to coordinate EHCPs and support children with SEND. Flexible part-time or full-time ongoing role with responsibilities across Education, Health and Social Care.

You will lead multi-agency meetings, draft EHCPs, provide SEND advice and ensure statutory compliance, with a focus on early intervention and positive outcomes for families.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND services, EHCP coordination, local authority or related field.
• Strong understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience managing Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and EHCP processes.
• Excellent verbal, written and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven ability to work with children, families, schools, health professionals and social care.
• Strong case management and workload prioritisation skills.
• Problem-solving ability for complex SEND cases.
• IT skills with case management systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead contact for EHCP activity supporting children and families through the process.
• Coordinate services and facilitate communication between education, health and social care professionals.
• Organise and lead multidisciplinary and multi-agency meetings focused on needs and outcomes.
• Draft, finalise, review and amend EHCPs and related plans per statutory requirements.
• Provide specialist SEND guidance to families and educational settings.
• Ensure SEND activity complies with relevant legislation.
• Lead initiatives supporting transitions between non-statutory and statutory services.
• Promote early identification of SEND needs and inclusive practices.
• Contribute to development and improvement of SEND and Inclusion services.
• Maintain accurate, timely records, reports and case documentation.
