Job summary

Middlesbrough Council is seeking a Commissioning Officer for Education & Partnerships within the Children's Commissioning Team. The role is fixed term until 31 December 2028 and reports to the Commissioning Manager Education & Partnerships.

A blended working arrangement with a mix of home and office working is supported to provide work-life balance. Applicants with commissioning experience in children's services or related social care or education environments and a working knowledge

Qualifications

• Commissioning experience preferred within children's services or related social care/education environments.
• Working knowledge of Local Government.

• Report to the Commissioning Manager Education & Partnerships.
• Support the SEND reforms through innovative commissioning to reshape the market and secure high-quality provision for children and young people.
• Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders, demonstrating creativity and solution-focused approaches.
