Job summary

Norfolk County Council is recruiting a Commissioning Officer to support the Specialist & Complex commissioning portfolio within the Integrated Commissioning Team in Children’s Services. The role focuses on monitoring and evaluating commissioned services, managing a diverse portfolio, and analysing data to inform improvements.

You will work with partners and providers, contribute to performance frameworks, and engage with Children and Young People to ensure services reflect their needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in monitoring and evaluating commissioned services.
• Ability to collect, analyse data and report findings.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Regularly monitor the effectiveness and quality of commissioned services through observation and data analysis.
• Work with providers to maintain quality standards and gather market intelligence.
• Contribute to the development of a commissioning performance framework and practice.
• Monitor trends in feedback and escalate issues as required.
• Provide information and guidance to providers regarding service specifications, data needs and invoicing.
• Facilitate engagement with Children and Young People to ensure their voices are heard.
