This role sits within the People department and focuses on performance monitoring, statutory reporting, and dashboard development for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the quality, integrity, and storage of data captured by the SEND Service
  • Design and maintain performance dashboards (ideally in Power BI) to support reporting and service improvement
  • Extract, analyse, and report on KPIs and service outcomes in line with statutory and operational priorities
  • Benchmark data against regional and national datasets, including statistical neighbours
  • Work collaboratively with SEND teams, partners, and data providers to ensure robust, joined-up reporting

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a local government or public sector setting with a focus on SEND or Children’s Services
  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI, Excel, and SQL for reporting and dashboard development
  • Experience handling statutory SEND returns and knowledge of the DfE SEND Code of Practice
  • Confident in data quality assurance, governance, and process improvement
  • Able to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences
  • 3-month rolling contract, full-time (35 hours/week)
