Job description

Are you a compassionate and adaptable individual looking to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to support an inclusive learning environment in an SEN school located in Runcorn?

If so, we would like to hear from you to begin an exciting and rewarding career as an SEND Cover Supervisor.

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEND Cover Supervisor to support students and contribute to their success and join a well-established and highly regarded SEN secondary school in Birkenhead, Wirral.

As an SEND Cover Supervisor, you will:
  1. Provide support to SEN students in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring continuity in their learning experience.
  2. Supervise and manage the classroom environment to maintain a safe and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
  3. Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by teaching staff to facilitate effective learning.
  4. Foster positive relationships with students and provide emotional support as needed.
  5. Assist with classroom management, behavior management, and ensuring that students adhere to school policies.
  6. Collaborate with teaching and support staff to meet the unique needs of SEN students.
As a SEND Cover Supervisor, you will have:
  1. A compassionate and patient manner with a genuine interest in working with students with special educational needs.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings.
  4. Prior experience in a similar role or working with SEN students is advantageous but not essential.
