Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – FE College (SEN) Location: Bromley Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent Opportunities Available About the College This welcoming FE College in Bromley provides specialist education for around 60 students aged 19–25 with a broad range of severe learning difficulties, PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). The college prides itself on its inclusive, supportive environment where every learner is encouraged to achieve their potential. There is parking available near the site, and the team is dedicated, passionate, and committed to making a difference. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support learners both in the classroom and during practical activities, helping them to develop their communication, life skills, and independence. Duties include: Providing personalised support to students with SEN. Assisting with personal care where required (not applicable when working solely with ASD learners). Supporting learning through creative, vocational, and life skills activities. Encouraging engagement, positive behaviour, and confidence. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside teachers, therapists, and other support staff. About You The college particularly welcomes applicants from care work, healthcare, or support work backgrounds – especially those who have worked with vulnerable adults or young people with complex needs. You will need: Experience supporting individuals with SEN, PMLD, or similar needs. Patience, empathy, and resilience. A positive, adaptable approach and willingness to learn.
