Job summary

Ormiston Academies Trust is seeking an SEND Classroom Teacher in Ipswich for a fixed-term maternity cover. You will join a supportive team that meets the physical, medical, sensory and emotional needs of our pupils aged 3–16 with complex needs.

Experience with SEND is welcome, but not essential; full training is provided. The role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to develop specialist SEND knowledge within our established Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with SEND is valuable but not essential.
• Full training will be provided and you will join a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Pastoral responsibility for a class group.
• Lead a small team of support staff within the class.
• Collaborate with multi-agency staff to meet complex needs.
• Provide personalised learning to suit a wide variety of learners.
• Potentially lead a curriculum area across the school.
