Job summary

An educational staffing agency is seeking a SEND Classroom Teacher for a secondary school in Easingwold. The successful candidate will deliver inclusive lessons to students with special educational needs and disabilities. Qualifications

SEND Classroom Teacher
Location: Easingwold, North Yorkshire
Salary Scale: £130 - £170 per day

Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Classroom Teacher to join a supportive team and make a lasting impact on the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities. Successful candidate will work at a secondary school located in Easingwold, North Yorkshire starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to students with a range of SEND.
  • Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with LSAs, SENCO, and other professionals to meet individual EHCP targets.
  • Develop tailored resources and use adaptive teaching strategies.
  • Track and assess student progress, maintaining clear records.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students.
Requirements
  • Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching students with SEND, ideally within a secondary school setting.
  • A sound understanding of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to complete one through GSL Education.
