Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a SEND Classroom Support Assistant in North Shields, England. You will work with pupils with Autism, ADHD and additional learning needs, supporting communication and social development and helping them build confidence and independence.

Role for a dedicated individual who enjoys building relationships and supporting children to overcome barriers in education, with opportunities for long-term progression and access to CPD resources.

Qualifications

• All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
• DBS check (Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service) may be required and safeguarding training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting children with additional learning needs
• Supporting communication and social development
• Working closely with teachers and SEND staff
• Helping pupils build confidence and independence
