Job Title: SEND Classroom Support
Location:

Hayes, Uxbridge

Job Type:

Contract, Full-Time hours 8:30- 16:00

Salary:

£420 - £480 Per week

Job Duties:
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the classroom
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored educational activities
  • Providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help (physical disabilities)
  • Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborating with other staff members and ensuring engagement of non-verbal students
Required Qualifications:
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (personal experience)
Education:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND (personal experience)
  • Experience in a classroom setting is a plus
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of different learning needs and how to support them
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy towards students with SEND
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification
  • Training in behaviour management techniques
  • Health and Social Care
  • Cache level 3
  • Manual handling
Working Conditions:
