Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting for an ad-hoc Cover Supervisor to join a special school in the NG7 area of Nottingham on a regular, ongoing basis. This role is ideal for graduates seeking classroom experience before teacher training, or HLTA/TA who want to step up.

You will supervise and deliver work set by the class teacher, ensure students are on task, and be confident when the teacher is absent. SEND setting requires patience, resilience and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Ideally qualified to Degree or HLTA Level.
• SEND setting requires patience, resilience and adaptability.
• Great for graduates seeking teaching experience before completing teacher training.
• HLTA's ready to step up or experienced Teaching Assistants progressing toward teaching.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and deliver work set by the class teacher.
• Ensure students stay on task and assist them when needed.
• Be confident when the teacher is absent from the classroom.
• Set high expectations for behaviour and learning during the lessons.
• Use positive techniques to keep children engaged and learning to their best potential.
