At Leader Education, we are seeking a SEND Classroom Assistant to support children within a school who cater for both primary and secondary students, this school is based in Morpeth, Northumberland. The ideal Classroom Assistant will have had previous experience working with young people who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.

The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30 until 15:30.

Working with Leader Education:

The successful Candidate will:

  • Hold or undergo a new Enhanced DBS check on the update service
  • Monitor and manage student's behaviour and wellbeing
  • Support the development of social and emotional skills
  • Assist with personal care if needed
  • Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse needs
