Knowsley Council is seeking a dedicated SEND Coordinator to work with children, young people, parents and carers to deliver high-quality advice and support.
You will coordinate multi-agency statutory assessments and produce Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), applying the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.

The role works closely with children, young people, parents and carers to offer high quality professional advice and support, co-ordinating multi agency statutory assessments for children and young people identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Practical understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, relevant legislation (e.g., Children and Families Act 2014, Education Act 2002), and a graduated approach to learning needs.
At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time. There is a requirement for you to attend your work base at least 2 days per week – Mondays and Wednesdays.
