Job summary

A local authority in the UK is seeking an experienced SEND Business Analyst to support improvements in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) service. This role involves analysing current processes, recommending improvements, and engaging with stakeholders. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement and an interim contract of 3-6 months with a daily rate of £500.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a SEND, Education, or Children's Services setting.
• Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory processes around EHCPs.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Skilled in process mapping, requirements gathering, and using analytical tools.
• Experience working within a local authority environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and local authority duties.

Overview:
Liverpool City Council is seeking an experienced SEND Business Analyst to support ongoing improvements within the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) service. This is a key role driving operational and strategic transformation, ensuring services meet statutory obligations and deliver improved outcomes for children and young people.

Essential Experience:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a SEND, Education, or Children's Services setting.
• Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory processes around EHCPs.

• Skilled in process mapping, requirements gathering, and using analytical tools.
• Experience working within a local authority environment.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting digital transformation or case management system implementation (e.g., Capita, Liquidlogic, Synergy, etc.).
• Knowledge of data governance in a children's services context.

Additional Information:

• Outside IR35 - you will be operating via your Ltd company.
• Hybrid working arrangement - onsite presence in Liverpool will be required 1-2 days per week.
