South Tyneside Council is seeking a SEND Assessment & Review Support Officer to join the SEND Assessment and Review Service at South Shields’ Town Hall. You will support the administration of EHC plan needs assessments and annual reviews, coordinating with children, families and professionals to meet statutory timescales.
You should have knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and experience using specialist ICT packages, with safeguarding checks including DBS as part of pre-employment screening.

Our SEND Assessment & Review Service plays a critical role in ensuring that children and young people with SEND receive appropriate support and services to meet their unique learning needs so that they can learn grow and achieve.
As a SEND Assessment & Review Support Officer you will support the administration of the statutory Education Health and Care Plan needs assessment and annual review processes through liaison with children and young people/parents and key education, health and care professionals, in order to meet statutory duties and timescales.
You should have experience and knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and effective use of specialist ICT packages.
