SEND Arts Lead (Teacher)

Salary: £30,000 - £44,870

Elementa is recruiting for a SEND Arts Lead (Teacher) at this special school for children with SEND, predominantly relating to ASC and SEMH. The school supports students across primary and secondary phases using a therapeutic approach, with all students having an EHCP related to SEMH, ASC, and anxiety. The school focuses on a holistic and creative education to help learners achieve their full potential.

The school has been recently renovated and offers a modern workplace. It supports learners aged 5-18 across two sites, with amenities including an onsite farm and coffee shop.

The successful candidate will be expected to safeguard students’ welfare, support their educational and therapeutic needs, contribute to curriculum meetings and school development, collaborate with staff, and prepare bespoke resources.

The SEND Arts Lead will plan, deliver, and lead the creative curriculum, including drama and theatre studies, and may be involved in cross-curricular activities like PSHE, horticulture, cooking, animal skills, and PE.

Essential criteria:

  • Specialist or extensive experience in Drama/Theatre Studies
  • Leadership experience
  • UK QTS
  • UK SEND teaching experience
  • Clear DBS (civil offences may be permissible)
