An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEND Administration Assistant to join Cobden Primary School on a permanent basis for 10 hours per week, working closely with our experienced SENDCo.
The SEND Administration Assistant will contribute to inclusion work within the school including assessing pupils for potential barriers to learning, supporting with intervention work and developing SEND support plans. A key aspect of the role will include assisting the SENDCo with administrative tasks including typing letters, completing referrals and communicating effectively with parents, Class Teachers, support staff and external agencies.
The role is a rewarding one with the successful candidates having the opportunity to positively develop and encourage our pupils in both their academic and social life. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own practice with the support of a close-knit team. Cobden Primary School has great transport links with the train station a 5 minute walk away.

The ideal candidate will have:
• A NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in Teaching and Learning
• Strong communication skills
• Experience of working in a school administrative or support role within an educational setting
• Experience of working with children with special educational needs
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise their own workload and enjoy multi-tasking
• The ability to maintain confidentiality with high attention to detail
• The ability to take direction from the SENDCo and Class Teacher to ensure all tasks and learning is undertaken within and outside of the classroom
