South West/ temporary / £12.12 - 15.00 per hour

The school is looking for a SEND 1:1 Tutor on a full-time basis. You’ll work with pupils on a 1:1 basis in their homes (with a parent/carer always present) or in community spaces such as libraries or children’s centres. Every learner is unique, so you’ll need to tailor your sessions and build strong, trusting relationships to foster a positive and engaging learning environment. The successful SEND 1:1 Tutor will be working directly with students across all Key Stages, whose ages range from 5 – 19 years. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD or attention deficit disorder / ADD.

The successful SEND teacher will have:

  • QTS ideally, or have experience delivering 1:1 tuition
  • Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD or attention deficit disorder / ADD
  • Experience supporting children through therapeutic practices
