We are looking for a caring and committed SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within Key Stage 1 (KS1) at a welcoming primary school in Sefton. This role is ideal for an experienced SEND TA who is passionate about providing tailored support and helping children thrive in their education.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
• Assist with learning, behaviour, and social development.
• Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
• Encourage independence and engagement in classroom activities.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant (KS1 or primary setting experience desirable).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Two professional references covering the last 2 years.
