Job description

Job Title: SEND 1:1 Support - After School Club Playworker

Location:

Larmenier and Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, 41A Brook Green, Hammersmith, London, W6 7BL

Start Date:

ASAP

Pay:

£15 per hour (plus holiday pay)

Work Dates:

Monday to Friday (days with SEN Child tbc) during Term Time (some days will be working without SEN Child)

Working hours:

15.00 - 18.00 for After School Club

Contract:

15 hrs per week during Term Time Only

Experienced & Qualified SEND is essential for this role.

About the role:

Junior Adventures Group UK is looking for a happy, enthusiastic, and passionate 1:1 SEN Activity Playworker to join our team. This complex role requires a confident and proactive individual with experience supporting children with SEN.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Supporting children within our Holiday Club
  2. Supporting children in sensory activities and games
  3. Engaging with children through play and sports
  4. Supervising children in a safe and welcoming environment
  5. Creating an inclusive and fun atmosphere
  6. Experience in teaching or supporting children with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
  7. Managing confrontation and challenging behaviors
  8. Responding patiently to children's needs

Experience is essential for this role.

This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Applicants must provide two references—one from their most recent employer and one from a childcare setting (if applicable). A DBS check will be conducted.
