Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the SEN provision across the School with consistency and compassion
  • Develop and implement EHCP strategies and personalised learning plans
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver high-quality, differentiated classroom support
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to SEN support staff
  • Liaise with external agencies, parents, and carers to ensure cohesive and coordinated support
  • Monitor and evaluate SEN student progress, delivering timely interventions where necessary
  • Promote and embed the School's inclusive values across all aspects of SEN provision
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Proven experience in a SENCO or similar leadership role within SEN or mainstream settings
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and best practice
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A deep understanding of SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and related conditions
  • A current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
