Job description

An exciting opportunity for a non-teaching SENCO has become available St Peter and St Paul CofE Academy. We are looking for an outstanding SENCO that truly understands how to support all children to achieve their potential.

You’ll hold key responsibility for all aspects of leading and managing SEN and wider inclusive provision across the school, including data analysis, supporting planning and implementation of interventions and strategies for SEN pupils alongside the Senior Leadership Team, and monitoring day-to-day operations with regards to the SEN policy and provision. From September 2025 the school will provide a small specialist provision for pupils in EYFS with social communication and interaction needs.

You’ll also contribute to evaluation and review processes that are in place, providing further guidance to teaching staff with delivering provision to SEN students and modelling successful inclusive strategies to promote high levels of achievement.

Job requirements

• Essential experience within team leadership and implementation of SEN policies

• A sound knowledge of Child Safeguarding and the SEN code of practice

• Ability to plan and evaluate interventions, using data analysis skills to review EHCP pupils and inform plans for provision

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
