Position: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Location: Ealing
Start Date: April 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are looking for a passionate and experienced SENCO to join our outstanding primary school in Ealing. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and enhance the provision for students with special educational needs within a highly supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the special educational needs provision across the school, ensuring all students with SEN receive high-quality support.
  • Work closely with class teachers to implement strategies and interventions that meet the individual needs of students.
  • Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
  • Oversee the assessment of students with SEN and use data to track progress and adapt strategies as required.
  • Provide guidance and professional development to staff on best practices for supporting students with additional needs.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional well-being.
  • Promote an inclusive and nurturing school culture where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Manage the SEN budget and resources effectively, ensuring provisions are in place to support students.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognized SENCO qualification.
  • Proven experience as a SENCO, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, best practices, and the range of interventions available.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
