Core responsibilities:
Oversee the SEND register and ensure effective implementation of EHCPs.
Liaise with teachers, support staff, external agencies, and families.
Coordinate targeted interventions and monitor their impact.
Deliver CPD and training to staff on differentiation and inclusion.
Ensure the school meets all statutory obligations under the SEND Code of Practice.
Be a visible and proactive member of the leadership team, championing equity and accessibility.
Candidate requirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) with National SENCo Award or willingness to complete it.
Significant teaching experience, ideally including experience working with students with SEN.
Strong understanding of EHCPs, graduated response, and inclusive pedagogy.
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
Passionate about removing barriers to learning and promoting wellbeing.
