A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Brent is seeking a committed Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to lead and enhance its SEND provision starting September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' lives and play a key leadership role within the school.
Your Role as SENCO:
* Lead the strategic development of the school's SEND provision.
* Coordinate and oversee support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring that all learners receive the tailored support they need to succeed.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver high-quality outcomes for pupils with SEND.
* Manage and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and ensure documentation is up to date and impactful.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and SEND Code of Practice.
SENCO requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a minimum of three years' classroom experience.
* NASENCO qualification (or a willingness to complete it).
* Proven experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs in a primary school setting.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* A strong belief in inclusive education and high aspirations for all learners.
