We are expanding our tutor talent pool to support our clients with a variety of student referrals.

Job Description:

We seek experienced tutors with expertise in Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role is part-time, approximately 10-15 hours per week, with some roles starting from 1 hour per week. Tutors will deliver tuition in core subjects, with occasional referrals for other subjects such as business studies or languages. Sessions may be conducted in person (at students' homes, libraries, or community centres) or online, serving Local Authorities and Schools.

Job Duties:
  1. Provide tailored educational support to students with SEN, developing your own materials and lesson plans to demonstrate your teaching ability and facilitate educational progress.
  2. Complete detailed session reports after each lesson using our virtual platform, which are monitored by our team and clients and used in reviews and meetings. Accurate reporting is essential for payment processing.
  3. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly, demonstrating flexibility and patience. Use assessments available on our platform to measure progress at the start and end of sessions.
  4. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and relevant consultants, informing them of any challenges to ensure support and safeguarding.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
  • A degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
  • At least 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of the UK education system
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
  • Part-time hours, starting from 1 hour per week
  • Temporary roles, often lasting until a student secures a school placement, with some roles extending over multiple academic years
  • Flexible scheduling, with sessions arranged between tutors and parents/carers
