Job Advert SEN Tutor (Sefton)

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced SEN Tutors in and around Sefton to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition in Maths and English from KS1 through to KS4. This is a part-time, flexible role (approx. 25 hours per week, Monday and Friday between 9am and 3pm) for qualified teachers looking to return to teaching, or retired teachers who still want to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children.

Role Details
  • Location: Sefton and surrounding areas (local travel required)
  • Hours: Approx. 25 per week, Monday to Friday (flexible within 9am and 3pm)
  • Pay: GBP27GBP30 per hour, depending on experience
  • Contract: Ongoing, part-time, flexible
  • Subjects: Maths and English (KS1 and KS4, depending on tutor preference)
  • Start date: ASAP
Requirements
  • Strong SEN experience (minimum 2 years preferred) essential
  • Experience teaching/tutoring within the UK curriculum
  • QTS desirable (but not essential if strong SEN background)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Ability to travel across Sefton and surrounding areas
  • Caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable pupils
  • Confident delivering both Maths and English
Further Information
