Job summary

Academics in Rushden is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 and small-group tuition to learners with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD and other needs.

You will tailor lessons to EHCP outcomes, adapt teaching strategies, and build strong relationships with learners, families and professionals to support progress and confidence in education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Understanding of additional learning needs and SEN strategies.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or personalised learning.
• Ability to adapt teaching styles to different needs and profiles.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 and small-group tuition.
• Plan differentiated learning activities aligned to EHCP outcomes.
• Monitor and record learner progress.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals to provide consistent support.
• Create a calm, safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
