Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEN Tutor to deliver personalised one-to-one lessons to disengaged and vulnerable learners. The role focuses on supporting students with SEN, adapting methods to EHCP targets, and building confidence through tailored tuition sessions.

This temporary, part-time/full-time opportunity offers flexible hours between 8:30am and 4:00pm, with an hourly rate of up to 30.00 GBP. Successful applicants will undergo Enhanced DBS verification via update service.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with SEN (tutoring, teaching or support work)
• Understanding of diverse learning needs and strategies to support them
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver personalised, engaging tuition sessions to students with SEN
• Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and EHCP targets
• Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other learning difficulties
• Build strong, supportive relationships to encourage confidence and progress
• Monitor, assess and report on student development
