Overview

SEN Tutor

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 tutoring for a pupil in a SEN setting, with a focus on developing learning plans and supporting their educational development.
  • Create and deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis; a therapeutic approach may be needed to re-engage students with their learning.
  • Help provide structure in the pupil’s daily routine and support their progress toward returning to an educational setting.
  • Monitor progression with each pupil and submit weekly reports to the agency.
  • Sessions generally take place during school daytime hours, with occasional opportunities after school (3–4 pm) and evenings.
  • Session lengths range from 1–4 hours, on a daily or weekly basis.

  • Location: within the community or pupil’s home in Rochdale.
