Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? We're looking for dedicated Tutors to join our growing team in Fratton, supporting learners who require alternative provision.

We welcome applicants with a range of experience, including:

  • At least 1 year in a UK school as a Teaching Assistant, Teacher, Cover Supervisor, 1:1 Support, or similar role
  • Experienced career Tutors

You'll be working with students from EYFS to Post-16, many of whom have SEN, SEMH needs, or EBSA. If you're confident in planning bespoke, engaging sessions and have a nurturing approach, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Tutor, you will
  • Plan and deliver bespoke, practical and engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Build positive relationships with learners to encourage confidence and progress
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting plans as needed
About you
  • Experience supporting learners with additional needs
  • Ability to tailor sessions to individual learning styles

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
  • Trauma informed - desirable
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must
  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
