Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking experienced SEN Tutors for 1:1 primary tuition in Southend-on-Sea and surrounding areas. Tutors will deliver personalised lessons 10–15 hours per week per referral, supporting children with diverse needs to access learning and build confidence.

Roles offer flexible, ongoing opportunities with a dedicated tuition team and regular referrals across Southend. Prior SEN experience and a patient, nurturing approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Ability to tailor approaches to individual SEN needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with families and schools.
• Patience, adaptability and a nurturing attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition to primary-aged students.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Adapt teaching to individual SEN profiles and pace.
• Maintain records of progress and engagement.
• Communicate with parents/carers and the tuition team.
