Job summary

TeacherActive in Cheltenham is seeking a SEND Tutor to join a specialist post-16 provision from September 2026. You will design and deliver personalised sessions and assess each student’s starting point to track progress.

The role requires a relevant teaching qualification and experience supporting learners with SEND; you will collaborate with other professionals and bring a creative, proactive approach to teaching.

Qualifications

• A relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience supporting young people with SEND, complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Experience planning and delivering individualised learning activities.
• An understanding of post-16 education and preparing young people for adulthood.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other professionals.
• A creative, proactive and adaptable approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver personalised learning sessions for each student.
• Establish students' starting points and monitor ongoing development.
• Work with other professionals to support each student's development.
