Make a Lasting Impact – One Learner at a Time

Are you a compassionate educator with a desire to make a difference outside the traditional classroom?

We're looking for dedicated SEN Outreach Tutors and Teachers to provide personalised one-to-one support to students across Essex, especially Clacton-on‑Sea and surrounding areas like Colchester. This rewarding role supports learners who are currently unable to attend mainstream education due to anxiety, social‑emotional needs (SEMH), SEND, behavioural challenges, or those at risk of exclusion through our partner Alternative Education Service. (You will not be working for our agency)

Whether you're working in a pupil's home, a local library, or an education setting, you'll be instrumental in helping learners rebuild confidence, re‑engage with education, and work towards meaningful academic outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Deliver tailored one-to-one sessions in core subjects such as English, Maths, PSHE, and more to secondary aged students from EYFS to Year 11 (including GCSE/Functional Skills) with EHCPs in place.
  • Build positive relationships with students and their families to foster trust and engagement.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning needs and styles.
  • Support students' academic progress alongside emotional resilience and personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate session records and progress reports.
  • Use varied tools and resources to keep sessions engaging and impactful.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified or experienced educators with strong Maths and English skills.
  • A background in working with young people with SEND.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a student‑centred approach to learning.
  • Confidence working independently across different environments.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – support available – cost £55.50).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
Why Join Us
  • Flexible hours to suit your schedule (typically between 9:30am‑4pm).
  • Consistent work – as one placement ends, we aim to match you with another.
  • Weekly pay, with a choice of contract options (self‑employed or umbrella).
  • Lesson plans provided, access to hub of plans to adapt to your students and resources.
  • 88+ free CPD courses, including Safeguarding, Behaviour Management & Use of Reasonable Force.
  • Immediate starts available across Clacton, Colchester and Tendring.
  • By applying through LT Support you not only are introduced to the service and benefitting from our fast turnaround times but also effectively registering with both companies opening you up to more opportunity with support throughout the whole process. As you will be working through a service not an agency you benefit from much more opportunity with one of the leading Alternative Education Providers for Essex and their recognition for the support and progression to their students.
