Job description
Overview

Are you a qualified teacher experienced with SEN and autism? Interested in helping individuals with learning disabilities and autism? Maybe an experienced SEN Teaching assistant looking for a step up.

You'll teach functional skills English and Maths, embedding employability and life skills and have dedicated time for planning and admin work each week working Monday - Friday 9-5.

The program you work on blends education and work experience, preparing learners for employment. The program is based in Haringey delivered in partnership with Haringey Council.

You will deliver 3 days teaching and then 2 days for admin & lesson prep or liaising with the wider stakeholders (such as coordinating with employers, family, or job coaches (who support the young people on their placements)).

Responsibilities
  • Teach functional skills English and Maths; embed employability and life skills; allocate dedicated time for planning and admin work each week (Mon–Fri, 9–5).
  • Deliver a programme that blends education and work experience, preparing learners for employment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including employers, families, and job coaches, and coordinate placements.
  • Work across a 5-day week with 3 days teaching and 2 days for admin/lesson prep or liaison.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 (PTLLS) or Level 5 (DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) teaching qualification.
  • Experience as a teacher with SEN and autism or related SEND experience.
Salary and progression
  • Salary for Level 3 teaching qualification is £29,798.
  • Salary for Level 5 teaching qualification is £32,005.
  • If successful you will be put through your Level 3 and Level 5 if you don\'t already have them.
