Remedy Tutoring Brighton and Surrounding Areas

Remedy Tutoring is looking for a dedicated, experienced and compassionate SEN Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 tuition to a pupil in Brighton. The role involves supporting the pupil's individual learning needs, building confidence and encouraging positive engagement with education. The successful tutor will plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons adapted to the pupil's abilities, helping them make academic progress while developing their independence and motivation.

We are seeking a proactive tutor who can create a supportive learning environment, adapt their teaching methods to suit individual needs and build a positive relationship with the pupil. The tutor will also be expected to monitor progress, encourage participation and provide regular feedback on engagement and learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Qualifications: QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching qualification.

• Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.

• SEN knowledge: Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH needs or learning difficulties is desirable.

• Teaching skills: Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons, particularly in English and Maths, tailored to the pupil's needs.

• Approach: Patient, flexible and nurturing, with strong communication and behaviour management skills.

• Setting: Comfortable delivering 1:1 tuition in the pupil's home or an agreed community setting, such as a library.

• Location: Brighton and surrounding areas.
