Job summary

Academics is recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider for dedicated SEN Tutors to support children and young people across Wellingborough. This role offers personalised tuition in home and community settings for learners unable to access mainstream education due to additional needs.

Assignments vary from short-term interventions to long-term placements, providing flexibility and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with learners and families.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting children or young people is preferred but not essential.
• Good understanding of Special Educational Needs is desirable.
• Knowledge or experience of EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) would be advantageous.
• Patient, adaptable and compassionate approach.

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider for dedicated SEN Tutors to support children and young people across Wellingborough. Requirements

• Previous experience supporting children or young people is preferred but not essential.
• A good understanding of Special Educational Needs is desirable.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) would be advantageous.
• Strong English and Maths skills.
• Access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence is essential due to travel between learners.
• A patient, adaptable and compassionate approach.
