Location: The Willows - Lutterworth

Compensation: £23,320 - £32,648 / year

Description

We are seeking a SEN Tutor to deliver tutoring to small groups and on a 1-1 basis within our Lutterworth Assessments Home and surrounding children's homes via outreach services. The role involves supporting vulnerable children aged 8-18 with SEMH and complex needs.

The role: We are looking for a qualified, committed, and motivated practitioner to enhance teaching and learning in our settings. Our approach focuses on results and providing high-quality, inclusive education that fosters skills and successful outcomes. Pupils may work towards qualifications such as Entry Level, Functional Skills, GCSEs, ASDAN, or Unit Awards.

This position requires a flexible, enthusiastic, and child-focused individual who can inspire and challenge pupils. We value a can-do attitude, adaptability, innovation, and a sense of humor. We welcome applicants with diverse talents to enrich our curriculum and environment.

What we need from you:
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), PTLLS, or equivalent
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or nearing qualification
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH
  • Experience in one-to-one or small group tutoring
  • Passion for inclusion and resilience in challenging situations
  • Knowledge of vocational pathways and subjects
  • Ability to plan, evaluate, and differentiate learning
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Organized, with effective time management
  • Resilient, flexible, and personable
  • Full UK driving license and own vehicle
  • A good sense of humor
