Qualifications

Overview

Prospero teaching is looking for tutors with experience with SEN students or in an SEN setting in the Garstang Area to provide 1 to 1 support to students with SEN requirements. We are looking for an inspirational and engaging tutor to help support those whose needs may not have been with in the traditional school setting.

Responsibilities
  • Be patient, empathetic and able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.
  • Take a therapeutic approach as needed to re-engage students with their learning.
  • Provide the pupil with structure in their daily routine and continue their educational development, ultimately helping them return to an educational setting.
  • Monitor progression with each pupil by submitting weekly reports to Prospero.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
Eligibility
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
