Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a SEND Transport Driver to join our healthcare transportation team based in Guildford.

This role involves transporting children with Special Educational and Disability Needs (SEND) to and from healthcare or educational facilities. It's a rewarding yet challenging opportunity where you can quickly become a valuable member of our team.

The position entails working full time, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist children with special educational needs during transport, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Drive carefully and considerately using our vehicles.
  • Support children in boarding and alighting, providing physical assistance if needed.
  • Maintain a calm and positive environment during transport, addressing behavioural or emotional needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and school staff.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of seat belts and appropriate seating.
  • Be familiar with safeguarding policies.
  • Report incidents or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Do you have what it takes?
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points.
  • Pass a DVLA D4 Medical.
  • Obtain and hold a PHV Licence (assistance available).
