Job summary

Hampshire County Council seeks a SEN Teaching and Learning Adviser to improve outcomes for children and young people by providing specialist SEND advice and support to schools across the county. You will deliver training, consultancy and workforce development, travel as needed, and work with school leaders to raise standards of achievement while promoting inclusive practice.

• QTS is required and experience leading SEND provision within schools.
• Strong track record in improving outcomes for children with SEND through evidence-based interventions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to partner with diverse educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SEND advice and support to schools and education providers.
• Deliver training, consultancy and professional development to raise standards for children with SEND.
• Support schools to develop inclusive approaches and close achievement gaps for vulnerable learners.
• Help teachers develop expertise in supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Contribute to curriculum development that reflects personalised and adaptive learning.
