Smart Teachers are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within its partner mainstream schools in the Wandsworth borough.

About the role

• You will be expected to support a pupil with additional needs across KS1 & KS2
• Work alongside a speech and language therapist to help improve child's verbal communication
• Use Phonics and Makaton to effectively communicate with the child
• Full time role starting in September 2025, 08:30-16:00

• 1& 2 form entry schools in Wandsworth
• Supportive Leadership who supports staff in their role with children who have SEN
• Great school enviroments that recieve great feedback from our staff that work within the schools
• All schools have good access to public transport links

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

• Have an understanding of phonics/makaton

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Have previous experience supporting children with SEN
