Inspire EHC Ltd, in Colchester, is partnering with a specialist SEN school to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a temporary to permanent position. Start ASAP with hourly pay £14.50–£15.80, depending on experience. The role supports pupils with SEN, including autism, in a highly personalised learning setting.

You will work closely with teachers to create engaging activities, support personal development, and assist with records and safeguarding. A driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN or autism.
• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Support students in lessons under guidance of the Class Teacher.
• Assist with preparation and delivery of learning activities and individual learning plans.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and engage in learning opportunities.
• Support learners with communication, social development and emotional regulation.
• Accompany students on educational visits and enrichment activities.
• Participate in physical and outdoor activities where required.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reviews.
• Promote positive behaviour and respond to challenging situations.
• Support students with personal care and hygiene needs where required.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and external professionals.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare procedures are followed at all times.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
