Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and making a positive impact on their learning journey?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Louth. As a SEN TA, this is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans for students with a range of needs, including emotional, behavioural, and cognitive challenges.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum, ensuring they achieve their potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor student progress and adapt learning strategies as needed.
  • Assist with classroom management and promote positive behaviour and well-being.
  • Help with the preparation of resources and the adaptation of materials for SEN students.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs in a school or care setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, flexible, and proactive approach to working with students.
  • A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
