Job summary

Guardian Selection Limited is actively seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Havering school from September 2026. You will support students with a range of SEN across mainstream and specialist settings.

Role requires experience with SEN, 1:1 and small group support, plus strong behaviour and communication skills. A valid DBS on the Update Service is essential, along with the right to work in the UK and references.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN.
• Experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Knowledge of SEN needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.
• Patient, caring, proactive approach to supporting students.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Valid DBS registered on the Update Service.
• 2–3 professional references covering 2–3 years of employment history.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Proof of National Insurance.
• Proof of address (dated within the last three months).
