Job summary

We are currently representing a school who are looking to hire a committed and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with Autism experience to join their staff for next term. This role is at a SEN school located in Borough of Lambeth and they are looking to secure a strong, qualified, SEN Teaching Assistant with Autism experience to work in an inclusive classroom with children who have Autism, sensory needs, and are verbal and non verbal. Knowledge of Makaton and PECS is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Special Needs Autism for this position will be someone who is enthusiastic, passionate, and willing to get involved in the community of this school.
  • Familiarity with conditions such as autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities.
  • Experience in collaborating with parents, carers, and support staff.
  • The SEN Teaching Assistant Special Needs Autism appointed to this position will need to establish and maintain the standards of pupil behaviour required to create an orderly and productive environment.
Qualifications/Experience
  • You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, to be eligible for this role.
  • To be eligible for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
