The teaching assistant will be working with SEN children within the school in particular those with Autism and SEMH. It is a teacher training school so successful graduate teaching assistants will have the opportunity to develop into a primary school teacher.

A primary school in Oxford are searching for a teaching assistant to join them September. They are looking for someone with a degree ideally in any subject along with a strong academic background. The successful teaching assistant will ideally have previous experience working with children – this can be tutoring, previous school experience, coaching, youth work etc.
This is a lovely primary school that has been awarded outstanding by Ofsted. They are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, someone who can build a good rapport with the children and be professional with the parents. A basic understanding of Maths and English is very important as the teaching assistant will be supporting numeracy and literacy lessons for KS1 and KS2 classes.
If a candidate has previous experience working with SEN children this would also be desirable. This is a fantastic platform for an aspiring teacher to build their classroom experience before undertaking their PGCE or teacher training.
